Do you have a goal that seems to never get accomplished? Do you have a To Do list that all the time seems to have the same things on it year after year?
I am not trying to bring up any bad memories, but I am trying to share with you a straightforward trick for getting more done and achieving some of your life goals.
Calendar
If you are like many people, you know that there are not sufficient hours in the day to get everything done. Life has a funny way of getting in the way of achieving goals. If you are sick and tired of not achieving the success you want in life, you might want to tap into the power of a "Challenge" to super-charge your success.
What is a Challenge?
A challenge is when you push yourself to get something done within a set time limit. I have taken part in a few online challenges, the most new being to write 100 articles in 100 days. It was clearly a crazy goal, but I stuck with it because I wanted to get it done and I could see the cease line in the horizon.
Let me justify why this challenge and challenges in normal work so well.
Important Stuff - Challenges Force You To Get Stuff Done
The speculate I love challenges is because they force you to get some of the big stuff on your list done. If you are going to do a challenge, you will be doing it because you of course want to get that task done (after all, you would not want to go straight through all the hassle to do something that is not prominent to you).
Here are the 3 things that challenges provide you and how they help you perform more than you ever plan you could perform in life.
Motivation
When something is prominent to you, there is that extra motivation to work hard and stick with the task. If you take part in a challenge, especially one online where you might have a network of population to hold you accountable, you have that extra motivation to stick with the challenge.
Why? Because you want to ensue and not fail when so many population are watching and pushing you along to perform your goals.
Focus
When you participate in a challenge, you are able to of course put all your attention and focus on that one task. You can clear your calendar and work on as minute as inherent covering of your things that you need to get done for your job or at home.
Time
Doing something day in and day out for weeks on end can get a bit tedious. When you do a challenge, you can work in short bursts of time where your motivation level is able to stay high and you can stay focused on the one task.
How long is too long? anything greater than 30 days leaves you at risk of failure. It is hard to stick with anything for 30 days, every day, day in and day out. With this in mind, try and restrict your challenges to 30 days or less.
Sometimes there will be man else setting up a challenge that is longer than 30 days (i.e., like my 100 articles in 100 days challenge) so you will have to settle if you want to participate or not.
Sample Challenges
So what are some challenges you can do? Why not commit to writing an eBook in the next 7 days? How about 30 articles in 30 days? What about losing 5 pounds in a week? Running every day for 2 or 3 weeks straight?
In short, there is no limit to what can be done if you of course commit to the challenge. If you still do not believe you can do it, you can all the time find man who has done the "impossible."
Take the Challenge, Today!
You now know that doing a challenge is a great way to stay motivated and focused on getting things done in less time than you ever plan possible. Why not take a look at your To Do or Big Goals list and pick a challenge out for yourself?
You will never regret taking on a challenge to perform one of your lifelong goals. Take operation today!
